Alongside their Olympic wins, Sapphire and Ward earned plenty of incredible accolades at other highly-prestigious events, including the World Equestrian Games, the FEI World Cup Finals, and the CN International Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows. She was also named the 2007 AGA Horse of the Year and the 2009 USEF Show Jumping Horse of the Year.
Sapphire was officially retired at the 2012 Devon Horse Show with throngs of fans in attendance, and lived out her retirement at Ward's Castle Hill Farm until her passing at the age of 19.
With a list of achievements as long as Sapphire's, it's no wonder this mare has been awarded a Show Jumping Hall of Fame spot. Breyer extends its congratulations to all of Sapphire's connections!
